posted: 2011-05-12
FINDLAY---JOBsolutions of Hancock County has a new service available for younger job applicants. A Youth Resource Room was recently opened at the local JOBsolutions office to help job seekers in their teens and to the age of 21.
The Youth Resource Room is open from 8 a.m. to 4:30 a.m. daily and offers many printed resources that include helpful information on resume writing, interviewing and other job seeking skills. Four computers and a printer are also available in the youth resource room. Two counselors are available to answer questions and work with the youth directly on job seeking skills.
Local job listings targeted for young applicants will also be posted in the Youth Resource Room.
“Many times younger people have no where else to learn these valuable tools needed to succeed in the job market,” said Carolyn Rodenhauser, Workforce Development Administrator. “We are excited to be able to offer this new service to the younger members of our community as they enter the workforce.”
JOBSolutions is an employment resource that works with its partner agencies to enhance workforce preparation and grow area employment levels. JOBSolutions staff and representatives from its partner agencies are available at the One Stop Center located at 7746 CR 140, Suite B, Findlay.
