New Videos Allow Job Skills Training Via JOBsolutions Website

FINDLAY---JOBsolutions of Hancock County has released seven videos offering job seekers tips on how to prepare for a job search and the interview process and how to keep an existing job.  The videos can be viewed at www.jobsolutions.net on the video library page.  Click on the channels section of the video player and then on the training channel to view the videos.

 

Local experts participated in the video series to offer expertise on a number of topics including resume writing, interviewing, how to make a good first impression and how to keep your existing job. Carolyn Rodenhauser, Hancock County Workforce Development Administrator, also participated in a video which highlights the services offered by JOBsolutions.  The videos were designed to help jobseekers enhance their job search, be more prepared and as an end result, more successful.

 

“The video series adds a whole new dimension to our services by providing more direct training assistance through our website,” Rodenhauser said. “Thank you to our local experts who volunteered their time and expertise to assist with this project and give jobseekers some additional tools to succeed. We hope to continue to expand this video series in the future with additional topics of interest.”

 

Offering jobseeker advice were: Jen Bookwalter, Human Resource Manager for Whirlpool Corp.; Mike Chiarelli, manager of Findlay Staples; Sandy Franks, former Human Resource Director at Whirlpool; Beth Linhart, Vice President of Human Resources at Rowmark; Marc Washington, retired Training Specialist from Marathon Petroleum Co.; and Brad Hammer, Director of Career Placement at the University of Findlay.  Hosting the video series was Dave Tippett, PHR, Director of On-Site Training and Consulting for the Employers’ Association.
